Latest Rumors Of Peyton Manning's Health, Future
Latest Rumors Of Peyton Manning's Health, Future, Peyton Manning rumors, The question of whether or not Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will remain with the team for the 2012 NFL season has become a big question mark, but the bigger uncertainty is if Manning will even be healthy enough to play if the Colts keep him or if he hits free agency. Apparently, Manning is struggling to get healthy and the concerns he may not ever play again continue to rise and Peter King of Sports Illustrated pointed out that the looming date of Manning's $28 million bonus is a little over a month away.
Peter (King) said that Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is struggling to get healthy. With barely more than a month to go before the March 8 trigger for payment of $28 million, that makes it even less likely that the Colts will pony up the cash.
There have been rumors of Manning's retirement for a few weeks, but the fact that he's still struggling to get healthy even now can't paint a bright outlook for team's hopeful of Manning hitting free agency. With Manning's bonus kicking in before the start of the 2012 NFL league year on March 13, it's highly likely he's released if the Colts do not plan to retain him as the bonus would kick in before he could be traded. It will be hard to see the Colts, who are in the middle of a complete overhaul, hanging onto an unhealthy Peyton Manning for another season, especially with the $28 million bonus looming.
