Lindsay Lohan does morgue job, hits Hawaii

Lindsay Lohan does morgue job, hits Hawaii

Lindsay Lohan does morgue job, hits Hawaii - Playboy magazine featuring nude Lindsay Lohan will be released early following second leak as carefree actress hits Hawaii. It was due to hit newsstands next Thursday - but will now be released early, tweets founder Hugh Hefner. The entire photo spread of Lindsay Lohan posing nude for Playboy has leaked online today - prompting the magazine's founder Hugh Hefner into releasing the magazine early.

Earlier in the week the cover, featuring the 25-year-old actress posing nude on a bunny shaped chair hit the net.

But now a further 10 snaps started doing the rounds.

Playboy has confirmed to MailOnline that 'someone took photos of Lindsay’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue'.

It was not due to hit newstands for another week (December 15) and it was earlier reported how bosses feared the sales of what they hoped would be the biggest selling issue of the year could be severely hit, according to TMZ.com.

Now Hefner has come up with a solution, tweeting: 'Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we're releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early.' He has not confirmed the new date of release yet.

Lohan - who was today pictured in Hawaii watching the Pipe Masters Surf Contest from the balcony of a private residence - was paid a reputed $1m to bare all in the Marilyn Monroe-inspired shoot.

The newly-leaked photos capture her in a series of provocative poses as the Mean Girls star channels the tragic screen siren.

Lindsay appears entirely naked, save for a pair of terracotta platform heels, in most of the inside shots.

The most clothing she wears is a black fur shrug in one frame as she kneels with a red cushion covering her lower half while raising her hands above her head.

The shoot is set against a sexy red backdrop; in some of the photos she lies on ruffled material - while in another she perches on what appears to be a lip-shaped couch.

Looking lasciviously into - and away from - the lens in the spread, Lohan is wearing lashings of red lipstick and has Marilyn's trademark beauty spot above her lip.

She wears and assortment of long and short blonde wigs, and completes her look with long fake lashes and heavy black make-up on her eyelids.

Props such as cushions are used to cover her lower half in many of the photographs, although in one she stands entirely naked - only slightly crossing her leg over.

Another frame shows her lying back seductively while holding her breasts with her hands.

One blog has published pages of the magazine and the accompanying interview.

Lohan tells the mag: 'Sex and sexuality are part of nature and I go along with nature. I think Marilyn Monroe said that, and I agree with her.

'Knowing your body and being in touch with your body is important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence.'

The actress had to pose for the magazine photographers twice, as the original attempt did not satisfy Playboy boss Hefner.

Speaking about the snaps, Hefner revealed the inspiration behind them.

He said: 'It's a classic tribute, inspired by the original Tom Kelley nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe. [It's] classy, very classy,' the New York Post reported.

'It turned out very well. I would say that I had some reservations early on, but after a couple of false steps, everybody came on board and it's going to be very exciting,' Hefner added.

At the time Lindsay posed for the photos, Dina Lohan, Lindsay's mother said the shoot was 'tastefully done'.

Speaking to The Insider's Christina McLarty she said: 'It was an opportunity for her and she's done thousands and thousands of covers, so this was just something...she's 25 now.

'It was just something that was her decision...we have a contractual say in how far it goes and her and Mr Hefner will decide.'

provacative drinking ad pulled

provacative drinking ad pulled
provacative drinking ad pulled - Pa. liquor board pulls ad on heavy drinking, rape. Provocative ad yanked after backlash. A campaign meant to warn young adults about the dangers of rape got the message all wrong, critics say. An ad meant to warn young adults about the links between heavy drinking and rape has been pulled by Pennsylvania's Liquor Control Board. Critics said it was another example of suggesting victims are to blame for rape.

The ad featured an image of a woman's legs on a bathroom floor with her underwear pulled down to her ankles, and the words: "She didn't want to do it, but she couldn't say no."

Stacey Witalec, a spokeswoman for the Liquor Control Board, said the online ad was part of a broader campaign that began a few months ago on the website ControlTonight.com. She said there was both criticism and support for the ad, but the board decided to pull it Wednesday evening.

Witalec said the campaign was trying to bring attention to a serious problem, not suggest rape victims are to blame.

"On an annual basis more than 97,000 people between the ages of 18 and 24 are the victims of alcohol-fueled sexual assaults," Witalec said, "and those statistics are staggering."

One expert defended the ad.

Jennifer Storm, Executive Director of the Victim/Witness Assistance Program in Harrisburg, noted that one sequence in the interactive ad stated very clearly that rape isn't the victim's fault.

"I feel strongly that we need to be having very frank conversations about prevention. Otherwise, all we're doing is intervening after the fact," Storm said.

"Alcohol is the number one drug used to facilitate rape. You lose your capacity to make sound decisions," Storm said, adding that "we need to empower people with every tool and piece of knowledge we have."

One blogger on the website Jezebel didn't agree.

"Rape is not just a bad thing that happens to someone after drinking too much," wrote Erin Gloria Ryan. "It's a deliberate act on the part of the rapist, a violation of another person committed solely because the rapist wanted to rape. The sooner we acknowledge this, the sooner we'll be rid of stupid, finger wagging ads like these."

Ryan also said that the portion of the ad reading "See what could happen when your friends drink too much" was "just shifting blame away from the rapist and onto the victim and, oddly, the victim's friends."

Several other ads in the campaign warning about the dangers of heavy drinking are still being used. Those subjects include excessive drinking and alcohol poisoning, drunk driving, and drunken arguments.

Rachel Crow: Stop blaming Scherzinger for my 'X Factor' elimination

Rachel Crow: Stop blaming Scherzinger for my 'X Factor' elimination

Rachel Crow: Stop blaming Scherzinger for my 'X Factor' elimination, After her shocking elimination on Thursday's episode of The X Factor, a heartbroken Rachel Crow began to sob while the crowd booed judge Nicole Scherzinger, whose indecisiveness ultimately led to Crow's axing by viewer vote. "I am not feeling the greatest, but I will be fine," the 13-year-old singer told reporters after the show. "I have definitely felt way better than this."

Crow, who had been one of the show's frontrunners, said she ran into a tearful Scherzinger backstage after the results were announced.

"She told me that she was sorry," Crow said. "I don't know why she said that, but I saw her in her dressing room and ... I told her it was okay and not her fault."

She also issued a plea to her supporters who have voiced their disappointment in the form of boos, hateful messages on social media networks and comments on websites.

"I want to say to all those people, 'Stop, Please,' " Crow told PEOPLE. "[Scherzinger] is the nicest person and the most beautiful person inside and out. ... She is amazing, and I don't understand why people are taking it out on her. It's no one's fault. It's not even America's fault. It's no one person's fault. It's just what God had in store for me. And I will be okay."

Crow's support for Scherzinger also extended to her Twitter feed.

"Please don't be angry with @nicolesherzy she was put in such a tough position," she wrote late Thursday.

As for Simon Cowell, Crow said the best piece of advice she received from her mentor was "to be myself."

A humble Crow said she was fully supportive of the other finalists, especially Marcus Canty, the other half of Thursday's bottom two. "Marcus is an amazing person," she said. "When I met him, I knew that he had a spark. He definitely has the X factor."

Crow said Canty embraced her as she broke down after the results were announced, and told her he was expecting to be the one sent home.

"I was crying and he was trying to console me," she said. "I was like, 'Console me? You should be celebrating.' I told him to celebrate and be happy."

And while she said she'd still like to pursue a future in show business, Crow said she won't miss the pressure of being a contestant on The X Factor.

"I am honestly a little relieved that I am out," she admitted. "It's definitely a lot of pressure, and while I am very sad, I am fine."

Secret Santas pay strangers' bills

Secret Santas pay strangers' bills

Secret Santas pay strangers' bills, Secret Santas pay strangers’ layaway bills at Kmart, One recipient thanks her anonymous donor for ‘the gift of believing in people’. Christmas came early for three people in West Michigan when a stranger picked up the tab on some presents. It happened Monday night at the Big Kmart on the 4000 block of Plainfield Avenue in Plainfield Township. A woman, described only as "being in her 30s," walked up to the layaway desk, pushing a shopping cart full of toys she planned to donate.

"This lady came up randomly and said, 'Can I, you know, pay off some people's layaway?' " said Dannell Goddard. Goddard works at Kmart in the layaway department. She told 24 Hour News 8 that when she first heard the request, she was a bit confused.

"I was like, 'Well, are you trying to pick them up? 'Cause you can't pick them up if you don't have an ID,' " Goddard said. "And [the mystery woman] replied, 'Nope, I just want to help people.' "

The woman looked through several of the 800 or so layaway contract tickets at the store. She randomly picked and paid the bill on three of them. She paid about $500 between all three of them and left a $10 balance on each of the accounts.

The woman's only requirement was that there were toys in the layaway orders.

"It was really crazy the way she did it. She was so excited and so happy to do it," said Goddard. "She had a great heart, and I told her that I felt like she had a great heart, and she said she doesn't want to take appreciation for it. She just felt that she was blessed and she wanted to bless others."

One of the recipients of that kindness was Mary Chapin. She told 24 Hour News 8 the act of kindness "restored her faith in people."

Chapin had put about $200 worth of toys on layaway for her son, David, Monday afternoon. She said she hoped she'd be able to pay off the balance by the week before Christmas.

Then she got a call from Kmart that changed all that.

"They said that someone had paid $180 on my layaway and there was only $10 left," said Chapin. "I thought it was a joke."

Chapin wanted to say thank you, but the only clue to the woman's identity was a message on her receipt that read, "Happy Holiday from a friend."

"I thank her. It's the best gift that I ever received, and it's the gift of believing in people," said Chapin. "And believing that there's good out there, 'cause you don't always see that."

The entire layaway order was for 12-year-old David, who has autism. Chapin told 24 Hour News 8 she was so excited she gave her son one of those toys, a brand new LEGO set.

Chapin has her own name for her family's Secret Santa. She calls the woman "an angel" for her family. She said that angel gave her family a far bigger gift than the toys themselves.

"Even though we're all in the same boat, nobody's thinking about anyone else, it's every man for himself," said Chapin. To have somebody come along behind, and just do something that's totally unnecessary but so appreciated, it just really made a difference."

Postscript: The day after the story aired on 24 Hour News 8, another secret Santa went to the Plainfield Kmart and offered to pay off 13 more layaway bills — to the tune of about $2,000. It was the largest layaway payoff in the history of the store.

student library tantrum

student library tantrum

student library tantrum, Video: Student “freaks out” in library over others “breathing loudly”, Student's library tantrum stirs the Web. A video of a California college student losing her cool during finals week raises a sensitive issue. This video from the California State University, Northridge campus has ignited controversy across the Internet this morning. In the video, reportedly taken during finals week, a female student loses her temper with her fellow students, accusing them of being disruptive. (Be warned, there are a few choice words whispered during the rant):

The unnamed student hushes her schoolmates, telling them, "It's rude. It's disrespectful. OK? It's finals right now." When the other students laugh off her request, she becomes more agitated, saying, "What's wrong with you? What is wrong with all of you?" Then, despite her pleas for silence, she raises her own voice and slams a desk, shouting, "I'm not talking louder than you, am I? Am I talking like this? Can you please just stop talking?"

While many find the scene in the video entertaining, it's also sparked some controversy. As the LA Weekly points out, this is the latest in a series of incidents that have made Asian targets of ridicule for the way others perceive their behavior in university libraries. Of course, most casual YouTube viewers are likely just amused that the student in question lost her temper simply because her fellow students were "breathing loudly" in the library.

CSUN student Ashley Moore first posted the video to her Facebook account, but it has since been taken down.

No one seems to be taking credit for the actual filming of the video, including the anonymous user who later posted it to YouTube, claiming:

"This is not my video, i do not take credit for the recording of this video. watch and enjoy!"

Rick Perry Strong Controversy

Rick Perry Strong Controversy

Rick Perry Strong Controversy, Rick Perry’s ad moves the Web, Web goes wild over controversial Perry ad. The candidate's message on gays and Christmas spawns a flurry of spoofs and pointed jokes. Rick Perry's latest ad has divided his campaign and gone viral on the Web. The TV spot shows Rick Perry wearing a jacket that could have been swiped from the "Brokeback Mountain" set (as former "Star Trek" star and gay activist George Takei has pointed out), as the candidate criticizes Obama for reversing the ban on gays in the military.

In the commercial, titled "Strong," Perry says, "You know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas."

The spot has even divided top Perry staffers. Terry Fabrizio, a lead pollster for the Perry campaign branded it "nuts" in an email according to Sam Stein of the Huffington Post.

The campaign message has definitely sparked public debate, but perhaps not in the way that Perry hoped, serving as instant fodder for late-night comedy shows: Stephen Colbert mounted a mock defense of the spot on his show last night.

And a steady viral stream of video spoofs have been making the rounds. The website BuzzFeed has a remix of the ad, in which Perry delivers a message directly opposite of the original script. Buzz on the ad has also caused Yahoo! searches to surge in just one day on "rick perry anti-gay ad," "rick perry brokeback mountain" and "rick perry youtube."

Gay rights groups have circulated a petition asking that the ad on YouTube get the "dislike" button: So far, the video has tallied over 440,000 dislikes.

You can watch the original ad in the video above.

Christmas Door Decorating Ideas

Christmas Door Decorating Ideas - Give your front door a makeover this season with one of these Christmas door decorating ideas. Festive and colorful, these wreaths are the perfect way to welcome holiday guests into your home. Here i share some Christmas Door Decorating Ideas like Mixed Greens, Bold and Beautiful, Candy-Cane Wreath, Take It from Him, Recycled Wreath, Christmas Ball Wreath, Everything's Coming Up Roses, Fan-Tastic, Mirror Image, Pop Out the Cork, Sugar-Coated-Fruit Wreath, Shades-of-Green Wreath, Paper-Star Wreath, Red-Berry Wreath and White Christmas.

Mixed Greens: This woodsy design, studded with fruit and plants, blends faux and real. From the crafts store, purchase a 16-inch grapevine wreath and artificial Granny Smith apples. Use a hot glue gun to affix the apples, spacing them equally around the ring. Select an assortment of seasonal flora from the florist or the forest — pinecones, fragrant eucalyptus, and juniper — and weave them into the grapevine, filling in the areas between the apples.

Bold and Beautiful: This radiant wreath shows your true colors — and all it takes is a few boxes of glass Christmas tree ornaments. Choose bright hues and a variety of sizes and attach with floral wire.

Candy-Cane Wreath: Everyone's favorite Christmas confection provides a cheery welcome on the outside of a house.

Instructions: Draw a candy cane shape onto a large piece of paper. Cut it out and trace the shape onto a two-inch-thick piece of Styrofoam. Cut out the Styrofoam using a serrated knife. Wrap a piece of white felt four inches wider than the candy cane around the shape (use straight pins to attach it to the back). Tightly wrap a wire around the top of your candy cane and create a loop for a hanger on the back. Spread out an assortment of peppermint candies and broken candy canes on newspaper in a well-ventilated area, like a garage. Spray the pieces with polyurethane, making sure to coat all sides of the candy well; let dry. Use a glue gun to tightly apply the candy to the front and sides of the wreath, then give the whole thing two more coats of polyurethane. Finish by wiring on sprigs of pine and a bow.

Take It from Him: Turn Dad's old ties into door decor. You'll need a 14-inch wire wreath form from a crafts shop and 19 ties. Cut all ties but one into 15-inch lengths. Position the narrow end of first cut tie, front side up, on a section of the wreath. Wrap tie around form until pointed end is positioned as shown, hiding the rolled tie; secure with pins. Repeat, overlapping ties slightly. Flip wreath over; sew rolled-up ties to the backs of points. Pin on the uncut, bowed tie.

Recycled Wreath:  Recycle holiday greeting cards into holly leaves for this one-of-a-kind decoration. Using a holly leaf stencil, trace onto old cards and cut out holly shapes. With a glue gun, glue a toothpick onto the backside of each of the leaves to form a 1-inch pick at the "bottom" of each leaf. Take a 10-inch Styrofoam wreath and insert these leaf picks around the shape until it is completely covered, fanning and overlapping them as shown. Cut out more holly leaves as needed to cover the wreath with regifted greetings.

Christmas Ball Wreath:  A shimmery stunner takes Christmas ornaments off the tree and onto the wall. Buy a straw wreath about 22 inches in diameter from the crafts store. Using 1/2 yard of white felt cut into 3-inch-wide strips, wrap each piece around the wreath, pinning to secure and overlapping the edges. Take assorted Christmas balls and attach to the felt with a low-temperature glue gun, using the smallest balls to fill in holes and gaps. This is also a great way to use older ornaments that may not look good from all angles. You can also add small stars, snowflakes, or other ornaments to give your wreath a unique look. Hang with wire, wrapped securely around "top" of wreath. (Note: You'll need to add the wire before you cover the wreath completely with ornaments.)

Everything's Coming Up Roses: For a wreath that bursts with fresh fragrance, glue dried red roses, white berries, and bay leaves onto a straw wreath form — making it as lush and full as possible.

Fan-Tastic: Start by fashioning small fans out of tissue paper. (To form circular shapes, just glue together two fans.) When you have enough circles, glue them to a Styrofoam wreath form and adorn it with faux pearls.

Mirror Image: Hang a wreath against a mirror for dramatic effect. To create this traditional fruit-and-greenery wreath, glue dried pomegranates to a straw wreath form. Then fill in the gaps with sheet moss.

Pop Out the Cork: Add pop to a dining room with wine corks wired to tiny red jingle bells. Take about 22 corks of the same size and 22 small (3/8 of an inch) red bells bought from a crafts store. Drill a small hole (just big enough to fit your wire through) 1/4 of an inch from the top of each cork and another 1/4 of an inch from the bottom. It is very important to make sure all the drilled holes at the top line up with the holes at the bottom. Using long, green floral wire, push the wire though all the bottom holes of the corks. Leave enough wire at both ends when finished for tying closed later. Cut another long piece of floral wire to string the tops of the corks together, alternating with the bells. Tie ends of wire at the top and bottom, twisting to close and make a wreath shape. Hang with length of ribbon.

Sugar-Coated-Fruit Wreath: Frost-tinged fruit add a festive touch to holiday decorations.

Instructions: Gather an assortment of artificial fruit (oranges, pears, lemons, apples, etc.). Insert a florist pick into each fruit. Roll them, one at a time, in tacky glue (such as Aleenes, available at crafts stores), then Epsom salts, and finally white, iridescent glitter. Push the picks into a brick of foam and allow the fruits to dry completely. Wrap an 18-inch straw wreath in lime-green ribbon and pin to secure. Use a craft knife to make holes in the ribbon where you will be placing the fruit. Stick the dry fruit into the wreath, starting with the larger pieces. Use a glue gun to secure them. Attach an organza ribbon with wire, then loosely wrap the ribbon ends around the wreath.

Shades-of-Green Wreath: Lime-colored flowers give a wreath a mossy appeal.

Instructions: Soak an oasis wreath form, then push in stems of balsam, chrysanthemum, and hypericum berries. Attach a satin bow with wire.

Paper-Star Wreath: Handmade paper stars, glued to a wire wreath, strike a modern pose in a window. This graphic ring will be ready to hang again next year.

Instructions: Go to highhopes.com and print out directions for making 3-D paper stars. Make the following stars: six 4-inch stars, eight 3-inch stars, and eight 2-inch stars. Coat a 12-inch wire wreath form with silver spray paint; let dry. Use a glue gun to attach the paper stars to the wreath, stacking them for a 3-D effect. Finish by wiring a satin ribbon to the top.

Red-Berry Wreath: A circle of winterberry branches brightens a mantel scene.

Instructions: Cut 40 to 50 branches of winterberries to measure between 10 and 16 inches long. Using green florist wire, attach the larger branches to a 16- to 18-inch wire frame one at a time, overlapping as you go. Continue adding smaller branches until it looks full; use a glue gun when the wiring becomes too difficult.

White Christmas: Matte white spray paint transforms au naturel grapevine, twigs, and pinecones into an icy-looking Arctic circle. At your crafts or floral supply store, purchase an 18-inch grapevine wreath. At the floral supply area of the craft store, look for natural pods in a variety of shapes, pinecones, and seasonal nuts from an assorted-mix package to add texture and variety to the wreath. Using a hot glue gun, add these dried decorations to the wreath. To make stick stars, use sticks from outdoors broken into 3- to 4-inch lengths or use cinnamon sticks. Glue them on top of each other to form the star shape and add them to the wreath. When all the pieces have been added, place wreath on newspaper or another surface you don't mind getting messy, and spray-paint the entire thing white. Allow to dry. Loop with wire in back to hang.

Worst music videos of the year

Worst music videos of the year

Worst music videos of the year - The Most Epically Awful Videos of 2011: Even Worse Than Rebecca Black. Rebecca Black’s “Friday” surprisingly doesn't take the top spot, says one blogger. The going logic, as we near the end of the calendar year, is that Rebecca Black's "Friday" was the worst video of 2011. Heck, NME.com actually declared it the worst video OF ALL TIME.

But we here at Yahoo! unearthed a few videos that actually made "Friday" (which, granted, did place pretty high on our 2011 Worst Videos list) look like Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" or Michael Jackson's "Thriller." And unlike young Rebecca, the artists behind those other terrible 2011 videos--actual adults--had no excuse. They were old enough to know better.

Check out the videos below and try to have fun, fun, fun, fun...but you have been warned. They're BAD. Clockwork Orange-style eyeball-cufflinks are recommended to help you get through all 10 clips.

10) Countess LuAnn - "Chic C'est La Vie"

Following up the viral success of "Money Can't Buy You Class," this Real Housewife of New York once again proved that money can't buy you a decent song or music video, either. And all the money in NYC apparently still couldn't buy enough AutoTune to render this lady listenable.

9) George Michael - "True Faith"

George Michael and New Order were two of the great British pop acts of the 1980s. So news that George would be releasing a cover of the New Order dance smash "True Faith" to benefit Comic Relief 2011 seemed like an exciting development...except for the sad fact that George's Comic Relief effort turned out to be, well, comically bad. We're not sure what was worse about it: the fact that he slowed down New Order's BPM by about 97 percent, that he saturated his robotic recording with enough AutoTune to make even Countess LuAnn balk, or that the entire video took place in the clouds so that it resembled an outtake from Eddie Murphy's box-office flop Holy Man or a Philly Cream Cheese commercial. Regardless, this abysmal video was enough to make us lose faith in British pop music altogether.

8) Emii - "Stilettos"

With this video, Gaga wannabe Emii sent all potential boyfriends a clear message: love her, love her stilettos. Fair enough. But love this video and song? Well, that was asking way too much. This really is a video probably only Imelda Marcos could love.

7) Inessa Lee - "Take Me To The Moon"

"American Idol" fans may recognize Inessa as the Ukrainian auditioner from Season 10 whom Steven Tyler lasciviously called a "little spitfire." But it seems Inessa prefers to be known as a "singing doll," according to her delusionally entertaining website. "Her emerald green eyes attract you. Her angelic voice makes you shiver...Her name is Inessa, and her music style is pop electronic, with a resemblance to Shakira, Ke$ha, and Kylie Minogue. Inessa is a singing doll: Innocent and sexy at the same time," reads her wildly hyperbolic bio. "Singing doll Inessa is a complete package: In addition to her exceptional beauty and talents, she is a singer and songwriter. The world has been waiting for her!" Honestly, she could have kept the world waiting a lot longer. This is not good.

6) Kalup &  Franco - "Rising"

In between sleepwalking his way through his Oscars hosting gig or guesting on "General Hospital," James Franco somehow found time to start a psychedelic band, Kalup & Franco, with Brooklyn-based performance artist/drag aficionado Kalup Linzy. Their resulting music video looked like something that was shot on "General Hospital" set...in 1977. With a Fisher-Price camera. That was then played on a secondhand Betamax VCR. It was assumed by many viewers that the new-agey, public-access-TV visuals behind His Highness's video were purposely created to look cheap and cruddy...but you know, we're not so sure. A better explanation? It's possible that whatever James was suspected of smoking when he hosted the 2011 Academy Awards was also in this video's director's pipe when this confounding clip was shot.

5) Tonje Langeteig - "I Don't Wanna Be A Crappy Housewife"

While we appreciate this Norwegian pop wannabe's independent spirit, we're not exactly sure a video like this was what Gloria Steinem, Betty Friedan, or even Helen Reddy had in mind when they crusaded for women's equality. Tonje merely demonstrated here that women are just as likely to make a terrible music video as men, and just as untalented as their YouTube brethren. And really, we don't think she needs to be worried about becoming a crappy housewife, because this video is embarrassing enough to scare away marriage-minded potential suitors well into the new year.

4) Rebecca Black - "Friday"

"Friday" made aspiring tween-pop starlet Rebecca an overnight sensation, earning her millions of YouTube views and instant Internet meme status. She's so popular now, in fact, that many people forget the REASON this video racked up so many clicks in the first place was its epic awfulness, the can't-look-away trainwreckiness of the whole affair. The oddly unironic video raised many fascinating questions in 2011, such as: Who is this girl? How did she get a record deal? Why is she sitting at a bus stop, if her friends are picking her up in their car? Why is she so indecisive about whether to sit in the front or back seat? If the girl standing to her right is her friend, then is that girl on her left her frenemy? Did the general public REALLY need to be informed that Thursday comes before Friday, or that Sunday comes after Saturday? And, most importantly: Is this a real thing? We're still not sure if all these questions ever got fully answered--but Rebecca's very real career is, bizarrely, going strong now, so perhaps we will find out in 2012 when she actually puts out a full album. Sadly, 2012 will probably also be a year filled with terrible viral videos by wannabes hoping to replicate Rebecca's runaway success.

3) Money Boy - "Gucci und Prada"

This Austrian MC's cover of "Get My Swag On" by Soulja Boy, "Dreh den Swag Auf," landed on many 2010 worst-of lists. And "Gucci und Prada" carried on that tradition this year by sampling, for even less swagginess, Rupert Holmes's "The Piña Colada Song." We'd assume that Austria holds its rappers to a much, much lower standard, except that Money Boy is apparently just as hated in his native land as he is in the rest of world. And the only way anyone, in any country, could possibly enjoy this video would be if they tossed back about twelve piña coladas.

2) Popstar Trishii - "Kiss Kiss"

The rather incorrectly named "Popstar" Trishii has, under the name Trisha Paytas, appeared on such reality shows as MTV's "My Strange Addiction" (she is hooked on tanning, which will soon be obvious if you watch the video below) and the Sci-Fi Channel's "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?" (her crime-fighting alter ego was named Ms. Limelight). And speaking of crime...Trishii's bargain-budget video for "Kiss Kiss" was a crime against music, against taste, and against the eyes of anyone unfortunate enough to see it in 2011. Imagine if Snooki mated with an Oompa Loompa, and then the Snooki-Loompa spawn hired Heidi Montag's producer to record her single, and you get an idea of the utter atrociousness of "Kiss Kiss." Not even the Ark Music Factory execs could get behind this.

1) Alternate Reality - "The King That Never Was"

Do not attempt to adjust your computer monitor. Do not assume that the video you are about to see is the result of some egg-nog-induced fog. Deluded Cleveland metal band Alternate Reality really did shoot an ambitious video about, according to lead singer Steve Delchin, "the legend of King Arthur and his quest for the Kingdom of Metal." The result is a video not even the most diehard Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast or Comic-Con season-pass-holder could appreciate or sit through more than once. Actually, if this video were intended to be ironic, we would say it was the most genius video of all time. Ditto if it were a video by Spinal Tap, Tenacious D, or Bill & Ted's Wyld Stallyns. But sadly, it seems like these not-so-shining-armored guys' tongues were nowhere near the vicinity of their cheeks when they filmed this video atrocity. Apparently they really do live in an alternate reality in which dressing up like Mickey Mouse from Fantasia and engaging in Camelot swordfights is the epitome of cool. Obviously, this is not a reality in which any sane person would choose to live.
