Kate Middleton Shows Off Waist in Pretty Grey Dress, After playing field hockey in bright, skin-tight jeans and a hoodie on Thursday morning, Kate Middleton slipped into the more polished garb that fans are used to seeing her in later that day. For her visit to the Dulwich Art Gallery in London, Prince William's wife donned a grey a-line Orla Kiely dress with a pleated shirt and black flowers embroidered along the neckline in a necklace-like fashion.

She paired the 3/4-sleeved number with black heels and a matching clutch. Despite the windy March weather, the Duchess, 30, ditched her signature nude sheer stockings and went bare-legged.

Her father-in-law, Prince Charles, was at her side for the outing. "Charles is looking forward to showing his daughter-in-law around," a source tells Us Weekly.

Thursday proved to be a busy day for the royal, who paid a surprise visit to Great Britain's official field hockey team and got to take few whacks. (Kate was captain of her hockey team at the Marlborough school.)
