Video: Determining exactly who turned the lights out in Indianapolis, Freaky moment at pro basketball game, As Indiana's Darren Collison tries a simple pass, his teammates suddenly disappear. As you can see above, during the second quarter of Indiana's 93-88 win over the New Jersey Nets on Thursday, the lights went out. Darren Collison was attempting to make an entry pass to center Jeff Foster, who was around before indoor lighting, when the main rack went out with 8:08 left in the first half. It was a brief break, mass hysteria did not ensue, the generators clearly left the backup lights running, along with the lit-up advertisements that run alongside the sidelines.

Within seconds, thankfully, the lights flew back on. Good thing, because even though just 11,117 bothered to show up to the game against the lowly Nets, that's still an arena full of angry Hoosiers, working in the dark, upset that when and if the lights do go back on there will only be a Pacers/Nets game waiting for them. The refs simply asked the Pacers to take the ball out of bounds, as if nothing happened, but we still don't know why the big bulbs went out.
