Player's awkward case of mistaken identity

Player's awkward case of mistaken identity

Player's awkward case of mistaken identity, Eddie George Mistaken For Calvin Johnson, A cameraman thinks he recognizes NFL star Calvin Johnson at the airport, but he's way off base. We know former NFL running back Eddie George is quick to react. We also know from his turn as Julius Caesar that he's got stage presence. And we know he's used to being spotted in public.

But all three came together wonderfully when a TMZ cameraman cornered the Ohio State legend at Los Angeles International Airport and started questioning him on camera.

Problem: The cameraman thought Eddie was Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson.

Ten thousand calories a day? Snakes? Banned from birthday parties? Steven Colbert thinks this is great deadpanning.

Wanna get away?

But Eddie -- who reported all Super Bowl week for Yahoo! Sports -- was hardly offended. He played right along.
