Blige embarrasses herself in new Burger King ad, Blige embarrasses herself in BK ad, Burger King has enlisted the help of several stars for its "Exciting Things are Happening" commercials: Jay Leno, David Beckham, Salma Hayek and Sofia Vergara all appear in spots. But the one featuring R&B star Mary J. Blige is getting flame-broiled by Twitter users mocking her for crooning about crispy chicken and lettuce while BK employees and visitors groove to the beat. 

Don't forget the cheesy (literally - they feature three cheeses, as Mary warbles) slow-motion close-ups of the ingredients getting wrapped up in a flour tortilla. The company debuted new menu items, such as frappes, smoothies and salads, as it tries to regain the No. 2 spot on the burger chain ranks, which it recently lost to Wendy's.
