'Miracle on Hudson' plane gets its wings, 'Miracle on the Hudson' Flight 1549 gets its wings, The Carolinas Aviation Museum is nearly done with the re-assembly of US Airways Flight 1549. US Airways Flight 1549 has its wings back on. The wings were reattached for the first time since the Airbus A-320 went down in the Hudson River on January 15, 2009 and became known as "The Miracle on the Hudson." A huge tow truck was used to lift the wings and volunteer mechanics from US Airways and Airbus bolted them back into place Monday afternoon at the Carolinas Aviation Museum.
