Lady Gaga was pictured giving Sir Paul McCartney a big kiss as they took to their seats at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards Night. he 'You & I' singer was wearing an armour like black outfit with a mesh that was covering her face and exposed skin as the showed her affection.
The former Beatles star took to the stage earlier in the event as he gave an emotional rendition of his new song 'My Valentine'.
Lady Gaga is also nominated for an array of awards including Album Of The Year for her 2011 album 'Born This Way', which featured the singles 'Marry The Night' and 'Judas'.
Lady Gaga appeared at the 2012 Grammy Awards in her usual costume-like attire, wearing a black number that was complete with a metal neck choker and black veil. However, instead of her outfit getting attention, her kiss with a certain Beetles member is what stole the spotlight.
Many have rumored that Lady Gaga was upstaged by Nicki Minaj ,who appeared on the red carpet in an outfit that resembled Little Red Riding Hood, but that may not be the whole truth.
Gaga actually purposely kept a low profile, deciding to skip the red carpet altogether.
Instead, the first time Gaga's appearance was unveiled at the ceremony was in a camera shot when she was already sitting in the audience. Gaga was nominated for three Grammy awards: Album Of The Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, but lost out on all three to Adele, who stole the night with six Grammy wins- one for each category in which she was nominated.
Although Gaga opted out of the red carpet walk for unknown reasons, she still managed to capture attention when she planted a kiss on former Beatles' member Paul McCartney.
McCartney performed twice on the Grammy stage Sunday night. His first performance was done sitting on a stool as he sang his one of his newest songs, "My Valentine."
he song was written for his new wife, Nancy Shevell, and was presented to her at their October wedding.
Though Gaga and McCartney appeared smitten, in photographs of the two, captured arm in arm, his new wife Nancy wasn't too jealous. Other photographs revealed that she also received several kisses from McCartney.
Gaga may not have won any Grammy awards this year, but still holds five previous Grammy awards from years past. Gaga has also been so successful over the past year that she has even decided to start her own social networking site labeled "Little Monsters."
