Exclusive Photos Of Katy Perry's Mermaid GHD Campaign, By now we are WELL versed on Katy Perry's ultra glam GHD campaigns. The David LaChapelle-shot British haircare company ads never fail to impress. We've seen Katy's locks transform from roaring '20s pin curls to an 1980s permed 'do, so you'd think they would've covered all hair terrain by now. 

Nope! They've left an entire area of haircare untouched—the *gasp* underwater world. KP transformed into a dazzling mermaid for her latest campaign, in which she shows off her long, luxurious, side-swept purple locks against a stormy, Brooklyn Bridge backdrop. Katy sported teal green and banana yellow eyeshadow with mega-long lashes and bright coral lips, but, um, can we please talk about that out-of-this-WORLD glittery ensemble paired with her glowing skin? Kay, thanks.

Katy Perry's longtime stylist Johnny Wujek (above) said this mermaid ensemble is actually a GOWN. He worked with a designer from Dubai to custom make this look. "We sketched it up, wanted to keep it close to a gown but allude to a mermaid all in one. It’s a bit of eye trickery as you get down to the feet; it has this beautiful fin which is all hand-embroidered and beaded. I’m excited for this one!"

Katy Perry is equally delighted by her done-up sea creature ensemble. She said, "I love it because I’m such a fan of the Disney movies. Ariel is such a big influence. It’s always fun to dress up once in your lifetime as a mermaid and have that fish fin tail. David LaChapelle made the set amazing. It was fun—I got to have purple hair which foreshadowed the real purple hair I had last fall. It’s as if Lisa Frank had done The Little Mermaid."

Speaking of hair, Katy's officially sported ever color in the rainbow! (Her latest venture being blue.) So what's next on her to-'do list? "I might like a long, hippie-esque blonde look with black roots. We’ll see." Can't wait!
